'Breaking Bad' is Freaking Good

My husband and I just watched disc 1 of Season 1 of "Breaking Bad", a show that's on AMC.  It's the gripping story of a highly qualified chemistry teacher who decides to start cooking crystal meth to support his family, an issue of immediate concern, since he is diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.  Watching the first three episodes, you become drawn to the main character, Walter. We became so sympathetic to his situation that by the end we just wanted something good to happen to him. Even now, 20 minutes after watching these first three episodes, I still feel anxious about where his life's going.  I'll be praying for Walter until Netflix sends us disc 2.
Great show, incredible writing and phenomenal acting by Bryan Cranston.

2008 'hito' of cepa 21, is a hip, young and balanced wine

The word 'HITO' signifies a milestone. It seems so appropriate to name this beautifully balanced and ruby red young wine. With its bouquet of strawberries and raspberries carried over into the glass accompanied by blackberries and hints of toasty notes, its long elegant finish makes you pour your next glass. Once you've tasted the modernized flavors of Cepa 21 in Ribera del Duero, you realize that you landed an amazing deal. A delightful bottle of wine for under fifteen dollars. Jackpot!

tasting mexcalmetl

Del Maguey Mezcal Vida - Organic
Mexcalmetl, also known as mezcal, usually distilled once protruding from the bottle a rustic and earthy character. There's nothing like sipping the taste of the mexican “terrior” and slight firewater.  If you're in search of an affordable and well made mezcal, I recommend the Del Maguey Mezcal Vida. It is produced from the original 400 year old organic method with water and the heart of the agave. Mezcal Vida was smoky with a hint of honey and earthy spices on the palate. The finish was long which could warm you up on a cold winter nights. Mezcal, a spirit so unique and full of history...I hope on my next tasting I can surpass the fire and appreciate what Mexico has to offer.
